LUXURY HOLIDAY

Gift Guide

In celebration of dissolving the pre-conception that beauty gifts are strictly a female gift, I personally tried and shared, which made it clear how to curate what I can highly recommend as unique, genderless luxury gifts. I targeted result driven products in terms of skin and body care, some with pure botanical ingredients for sensitive skin, and some as the ultimate luxury gift to covet.

AMALA: A Vegan Botanical skincare brand, safe for sensitive skin

Youth Renewing Powerhouse Eye Cream:

For day and night, works well at minimizing fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles. The results I enjoyed most was the firmness and nourished glow around my eye area. The potent, result driven formula’s three key active ingredients; Moth bean (Retinal alternative), Moroccan Atlas, cedar extract, firming spirulina, coco bean probiotics.

AMALA Detoxifying Body Glow Oil

This body oil has become one of my favorite after shower oils to apply for the ultimate spa, hydration experience. Its lightweight formula applies without a heavy residue. I can layer with the Detoxifying Body shaping cream and get dressed without my clothes sticking to my skin. It’s rich ingredients include; cold pressed botanical oils, coconut oil, jojoba oil, Hemp seed oil, with key actives; wakame pre-probiotic  and a mineral complex.

AMALA Detoxifying Body Shaping Cream

Dry skin with cellulite dimples? This amazing rich cream has a result driven blend of collagen-boosting formula which has been clinically proven to minimize the appearance of those cellulite dimples. I noticed my problem area; thighs are more hydrated, and skin is firmer.

Key ingredients; brown algae, Pau Rosa and sprouted cress. Ingredients are vegan & cold pressed.

FUR ALL BODY: All Body Wash

A new product by a uni-sex brand that is hard working at taking care of all body hair in the most luxurious and natural way. I recommend this body wash for anyone with sensitive, dry skin or prone to breakouts from overly rich body washes. Its light weight, gentle but hydrating formula is PH-Balanced, left me feeling refreshed and lightly hydrated in the dry areas on my arms and legs. The texture pours as an oil and quickly evolves into a smooth milky wash a definite touch of luxury cleansing.

AUGUSTINUS BADER: The Body Oil

This brand has been a staple in my daily face care routine, their body oil is an added result driven uni-sex product that delivers nourished results with anti-aging ingredients. A little goes a long way, and ideal for cold winter weather when your skin is exposed to harsh conditions. The brand manifesto assures me that price can match results.

A pioneer in the field of stem cell research, Professor Augustinus Bader has spent thirty years unlocking the body’s innate capacity to self-heal. In 2007, Bader developed a groundbreaking hydrogel that allowed some burn patients to forgo skin grafts. Similar innovative technology drives the professor’s eponymous skin care line. Designed to jumpstart the body’s innate renewal processes, “[the line] takes skin care to the next level,” explains the professor, “it’s about achieving skin health through physiologic and innate ways.” The formulas feature a proprietary Trigger Factor Complex—a combination of natural amino acids, high-grade vitamins, and synthesized molecules— to activate regeneration of the body’s own stem cells. The result: healthy, radiant, and youthful skin.

NATURE OF THINGS: Floral Bath

I’m a long bath addict and have experimented with many products in which I was seeking a relaxing, immersive experience that is also organic and therapeutic. My process became a mix of many products: Aromatherapy oils, every version of Epsom salt, CBD oils, etc. When I tried the award-winning Nature of Things Floral Bath I felt the ultimate healing, therapeutic bath was possible with a five second pour of the Floral Bath. It’s a multi layered experience: it is cleansing, moisturizing (with shea butter Kahai), the added therapeutic element CBD, aromatherapy (with the sensual scents of plumeria, jasmine, vetiver, cedarwood).  No need for added body wash; it’s formulated for the complete experience. Certified Vegan, Cruelty Free, and formulated with certified organic ingredients.

ORIBE Cote d’Azur Anti-Aging Replenishing Body Wash

The luxurious texture and ingredients left my skin feeling soft and silky as well as lightly scented. However, this is one of the few products on this list that may not be 100% Uni-sex as its sensual signature Cote d’Azur scent may be considered feminine by the Oribe loyalists. The texture has a miniscule pearl type feel, a small amount lathers up quickly into a rich moisturizing effect. I almost didn’t need a moisturizer after using this wash, I also love the scent so much I wanted it to linger rather than be minimized. Some of the noteworthy product features: Vegan, Cruelty free, gluten free, Dermatologist tested, free of parabens, petrolatum, or mineral oil.

Key ingredients: Rice oil, Soybean oil, Sweet Almond oil, starflower oil, and Meadowfoam.

NOBLE PANACEA The Absolute Restoring Eye Cream

I was impressed with the product before trying it. I’ll start with the packaging: the gorgeous lacquer-like box is made of an environmentally safe natural starch fibers and it’s refillable. Each dose of cream is in a disposable pack. Above the surface details I want to highlight the creator of this Uni-sex skincare brand:

Noble Panacea’s journey starts with Sir Fraser Stoddart, a precocious scientist, who learned early on that the key to innovation lies in unleashed creativity and daring to dream. Sir Fraser and his lifetime contribution to chemistry is recognized by many prestigious awards and world leaders including Knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II in 2006, the Albert Einstein World Award of Science in 2007, and becoming a 2016 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry. His commitment to benefiting humankind led to the discovery of the Organic Super Molecular Vessel™ Technology, the core of Noble Panacea. His Genius evolved a credible skincare brand that is based on technology using minuscule particles to transport active ingredients. This process is key to enabling the formula and its substances to perform their task with a maximum absorption on the skin in the right places. This enables the product to penetrate 35% deeper with efficient results.

I like the non-greasy, easy to apply texture and after 2 weeks I saw the results: less lines, nourished plumpness around my eye are, overall intense results.

I used 1 packet per day by using half in the AM and half at night. As the box comes with a 30-day refillable supply I can honestly agree the price does match the results. The packets are also recyclable, Noble Panacea offers a recycling envelope upon request.

TOM FORD OMBRE LEATHER: Parfum

I’m often attracted to uni-sex fragrances as the balance or feminine and masculine triggers a relaxing and sensual effect to my senses. Tom Ford has re formulated his award-winning popular fragrance: OMBRE LEATHER nosed / created by Sonia Constant. It’s sophisticated, minimal fade, sexy yet more grounded than the original version. The bottle is wrapped with a unique leather like case. A slight nod to leather and what it can symbolize. The reinterpretation has similar base notes of musk, moss, amber, which are some my favorite base notes.  The middle tactile notes of Jasmine sambac and signature black leather are enticing whereas the top note of intense violet leaf absolute is the powerful green note that balances the woodsy captivating warmer notes.

Key Scent  Actives: Violet leaf absolute ORPUR®, Pyralone Natsublim®, Boisiris, orris heart, cedarwood Virginia oil Rectified ORPUR®, black leather.

A perfect winter scent for man or woman.

BOY CHANEL

Boy Chanel launched in 2016 is a Aromatic Fougere fragrance for women and men. Nosed by is Olivier Polge. As part of the Exclusifs collection of Fragrances it’s definitely one of the most unique, Inspired by a longtime true love of Coco Chanel: Arthur “Boy” Capel. An English Polo Player and businessman. Its low silage is enticing, but not overwhelming when applied. Its longevity adds to the luxury list of reasons why CHANEL exclusively are to me like collecting timeless fragrance as art. A guaranteed winner to gift the CHANEL fragrance addict or for yourself to share with your partner.

Polge states BOY is ““a duality, with a fresh, aromatic masculine barbershop aspect and its more enveloping element. My way of working on this fragrance was not to try to make a unisex fragrance but really more to dive into men’s fragrance…and to show how well it could be worn by a woman. So it was not to try to create an in-between fragrance, but a very masculine fragrance. And — like many other things in life — gender is given by the person wearing it.”

Top notes are Lavender, Grapefruit and Lemon; middle notes are Geranium, Orange Blossom and Rose; base notes are White Musk, Heliotrope, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Coumarin and Moss.

Their large Parfum bottles are loaded with generous amount of fragrance unlike other brands this is a must have.
